In 1977 Mary Orwin had a dream to open a local family-owned and operated nursery business in Roseville/Granite Bay. Mary was always an avid gardener and so she decided to open Sierra Nursery in the middle of what were then open fields along Douglas Boulevard. Soon her husband Bill joined her in the business and they successfully grew their plants, expertise and customer loyalty over the next 25 years.

The nursery gained a local reputation for one of excellent customer service and support, spearheaded by a staff of qualified Certified California Nursery people (CCN). They also became known for having hand-picked quality green goods, to go along with the expert advice. The end result was a formula for success, ensuring that the customer had the best possible chance for growing healthy and beautiful plants at home.

Today Sierra Nursery continues the tradition of being a locally owned and operated family business that has become an integral part of the community. John and Lyn Adams of Granite Bay are the current owners/stewards since February of 2007. They are backed up by a phenomenal assembly of local talent that have been bred in the same culture of excellent customer service and a tradition of offering only the best quality products available. Like Mary and Bill before them, John and Lyn have always dreamed of owning a local community-based business and so their purchase of Sierra Nursery represents the fufillment of a life long dream. Their oldest son and daughter Ryan and Kaitlin both attend school at an east coast University, while their youngest son Connor attends school here in the Eureka school district.

Since we are a local family owned and community based business, we take pride in being counted on as a local community resource. We aim to be of service to the Granite Bay, Roseville, Rocklin, Loomis, Lincoln, Folsom and surrounding communities in as many ways as we possibly can.
